Bentonite Clay has long been known for important detoxification properties. Bentonite is a swelling clay, once it becomes mixed with water electrical and molecular components of the clay change and produce an "electrical charge". Its highest power lies in its ability to absorb toxins, impurities and heavy metals. Impurities are drawn to the skin surface and washed away. This combination of sea salt, bentonite clay sodium bicarbonate (aluminum free) and ginger are a wonderful ,relaxing way to detox.
"I stumbled on your concoction by accident while recuperating at Little Palm Island in the Florida Keys. Just over two years ago, I had been diagnosed with Lyme. I was as lose to death as I have ever been and at the time of my diagnosis, all they could tell me is that mine had reached chronic stage. I had been infected for quite a while so a cure was out of the question. Basically, until it becomes more prevalent and the medical community can be reimbursed for treatment, the modus of treatment is massive antibiotic to beat back the little monsters that invade every cell of your body.
I was totally depleted when I arrived at the spa,accompanied by my husband who is a doctor. As you know, little Palm Island has few distractions and is truly a place to rest.
The first "activity" was to take a steaming hot bath with your Detox Bath Clay. On leaving the bath, i lay down for an hour and slept. When I woke, I was astounded to feel the first signs of recover so apparent it was undeniable. I stayed for four nights and insisted on taking one of your Detox Baths every day.
This is my take on the whole experience. Lyme Disease is an invasion of parasites. Left untreated, they invade every cell. To beat them back, you kill as many off as you can with antibiotic. Therefore your body is now playing host to a lot of dead bugs that it must dispose of. That is why there is a terrible rebound effect while your body is trying to rid itself of the rotting corpses.
Your Detox Bath speeds up that process at a rate the body simply can not do on it's own. If you think about it, it simply is doing what you designed it to do, draw impurities out of the body via the skin. The application for your baths are endless really, as I'm sure you know.
I now have a closet full of your Detox Bath and feel that using it on a regular basis helps to keep the detriments of Lyme (as well as other toxins I come in contact with) at bay.

| Tender Loving Cushion

The Tender Loving Cushion helps the therapist by bolstering the client to affect the chest, anterior deltoids, and serratus anterior while allowing the scapula to drop back into a comfortable position, releasing rhomboid and trapezius. The therapist has gravity working while increasing the stretch with gentle pressure. The neck is always completely supported allowing the client to feel more comfortable and in so doing the body responds and relaxes more fully.
The idea came from many years experience teaching group exercise classes, yoga, personal training and doing massage therapy. It is very apparent in our society that upper back, neck, and shoulder problems are very prevalent. I created the cushion so people could help themselves on a daily basis with their pain and postural problems.
When I first started bolstering the body with towels and other kinds of bolsters about 6 years ago, I got a lot positive results in the chest openings and release of upper back tension however the bolstering was never completely comfortable for the person lying on the table. The normal size bolster used in massage session for under the knees is far too large and the client would feel unstable. I started sewing and creating different sizes and shapes. The real breakthrough was when I added the top piece designed to completely support the neck. This created the T shape as we now know it, and was the reason I chose the name Tender Loving Cushion.
The T shape allows freedom in the chest and upper back by bringing the body back into balance. The release of tightness in the front of the chest and shoulders has many benefits. The posture is only the beginning of the wonderful affects.
We spend most of our time in a shoulder forward position and the cushion allows the body to be at rest in a position to counter the gravitational load encountered sitting at a computer for long hours or the many other reasons the body shifts into kyphosis.
The Tender Loving Cushion is filled with flax seed, dried lavender, dried peppermint, and orange peel. The aromatic qualities begin the relaxation process. The flax seeds helps hold the shape, the lavender increases the feeling of relaxation, the peppermint for clarity of mind, and the orange peel is very uplifting. The combination creates a desire to breathe deeply. As the client slows down and breathes deeply the body relaxes over the cushion. It only takes a few minutes for the body to remember how to let go.
The Tender Loving Cushion can be heated in the microwave for warmth between the scapula and the neck, or put into the freezer for times when inflammation is present.
